Enrolment Information and Conditions
Courses are conducted on a one to one tuition basis, or on a two applicant basis if required.

- Mail completed application form together with all relevant information and a cheque or money orders for the
course fees made payable to Apples Driving School to Po Box 1037 Moonee Ponds Melbourne Vic. 3039
- Course state date will be advised once completed application form and payment have been received
- Prior to course start date applicants will be required to attend for eyesight and colour perception tests to be conducted and enrolment completed. Date and Time to be advised once application form and payment have been received
- Course start dates to be confirmed once
- Medical Clearance is obtained if required
- Eyesight test is completed
- Enrolment Procedure completed
- Unfortunately enrolments cannot be accepted without payment
- Applications for refunds and transfers will be accepted if they are received in writing at least seven (7)
working days prior to date of course commencement. A standard handling charge of $50.00 will apply for transfer.
There will be a 35% administration fee for all withdrawals from any course. No refunds or transfers from any course
upon commencement of course.
- A refund less $50.00 will be returned if the course is required to be cancelled due to:
- Non-clearance from Vic Roads Medical if required
- Applicant produces Doctor Certificate stating reasons for course withdrawal Requirements
Purpose of the Course
To provide an understanding of the techniques - skills - knowledge and ability to perform the tasks required to obtain a
licence endorsement for the required heavy vehicle category.
Course Outline
To pass the licence test you must show competency in the required criteria as listed below.
Heavy Rigid, Medium Rigid and Light Rigid Vehicle
- Skills component
- Reverse slalom
- Curb Side Stop
- Drive component
- Theory Test component
*Note: In addition a minimum of 1 Hour theory Class training is recommended.
Heavy Combination
Two Compulsory components are:
- Skills component
- Coupling prime-mover to trailer
- Reverse slalom
- Drive component
APPLES DRIVING SCHOOL - Undertakes to train you in all of the above criteria necessary in order for you to obtain your Heavy
Vehicle Licence Endorsement.
APPLES FORKLIFT LICENCE
Introduction
This is a one-day course designed for participants to understand the engineering principals and safe operational practice
of fork lift trucks.
Aims and Objectives
To enable the participants to acquire the skills and knowledge required to operate forklift trucks safely and
efficiently and to pass both theoretical and practical tests. Course Contents:
Safety:
- Introduction to fork truck controls and instruments.
- Starting, moving, steering and stopping the fork truck.
- Handling unladed and laden pallets.
- Hydraulic System.
- Pre-shift inspection.
- Refueling Procedures.
- Weight Assessment.
- Driving on - off Ramps.
- Stacking - Des tacking
Where subjects can not be covered practicably then they will be either simulated or covered orally followed by an
appropriate theoretical test.
Qualification: On completion of the test, a Forklift Operators Certificate will be issued to successful applicants.
Forklift Course Booking Conditions:
- No cancellation or rescheduling is permitted inside 7 days of the course
- Cancellation outside 7 days entails a $50 fee. Rescheduling outside 7 days entails a $30 fee
- The Forklift Course is held over consecutive days
- Once starting the course there will be no refund If you fail to attend a Course for any reason or rescheduling for any reason including illness
- On the first day participants must arrive 25 minutes prior to the advertised starting time
- In the event you are running 10 minutes or more late on the first day and are not allowed to enter there will be no refund and a 50% rescheduling fee applies
- If you choose not to complete a full driver training session, the option to complete the assessment is offered but no refund on any uncompleted driver training will be given
